Our doctors are licensed to dispense medication. Unfortunately, medical aid schemes have gradually introduced evermore restrictive and limited medicine formulary's (this is a list of medications that are covered by the medical aid). Over the same period, medication prices have increased substantially. This has left dispensing GP's to try to fill the gap between what a patient's medical aid covers and what the GP feels is the necessary medication. As a result, dispensing medication has become too costly for most practices. 

In the interest of maintaining good treatment standards, we have decided to continue dispensing medication to our cash paying clients and only 3 medical aid schemes: Remedi Standard Option, Bestmed Rhythm option and Fedhealth Myfed option.
